NOW LET'S LEARN THE NOTES!

The first note you'll learn it's going to be Do. (Or C in English). You need to learn the name of the notes in English, with letter names and also the real name of the notes, like Do, Re, Mi etc.

If you see the note Do it has a line on the actual note head. Its below all the 5 lines of the staff. Take a look and memorize this note, Do.

DO

A Do Whole Note last 4 counts. And has a vertical line (A ledger line) over the note.

the note Do it has a line on the actual note head. Its below all the 5 lines of the staff. Take a look and memorize this note, Do.

RE

The next note is Re. It's very easy to memorize because is all the way down, right below the five lines of the staff, and it's the next note after Do. So the order is; Do, Re...

MI

The next note is Mi. If you look at it, the note Mi is right on the first line of the staff, on the bottom line. You don't have to compare this note with any other note, if you see a note on the first line of the staff, it's Mi. Now you know 3 notes, Do, Re, Mi...

FA

Now let's look at the note Fa. This note is in the FIRST SPACE of the staff, that means is in the middle of the first and second lines of the staff, each note is in a different place, that way is easy to remember them. With this note you know 4 notes, Do, Re, Mi, Fa...

SOL

This note is SOL. the note sol is on the SECOND LINE of the staff. Notice one thing, the note is in the same line than the big circle that forms in the treble clef, you see the treble clef, has a big circle around the second line, that's way the note SOL or G is place there. (Some people call the treble clef, the G clef, because of the G note.) This note, like all the others, is very easy to memorize. Now you should know 5 notes, Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol...

LA

Let's go faster. now learn the next note; La. is on the SECOND SPACE, look at it. All these notes are whole notes. Now you should know 6 notes, Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La...

SI

Now let's learn the seventh note, Si. this note is on the 3rd line. pretty much in the middle of the five lines, it should be very easy to learn. If you take one note per day and try to memorize it, it will only take you seven days to know the seven notes, simple. That's it! There are only seven notes in music, so you know them all. Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si.

DO

Okay, once you know all the seven notes, you should know that the notes repeat themselves, so after Si, you star the new set of notes, so you have a new Do, which will be higher than the middle Do. This Do is on the THIRD SPACE of the staff.

RE

This RE is also high and is on the FOURTH LINE of the staff, notice that each of the notes you are learning, look different from each other, you will not get confuse.

MI

Now Mi, it's on the FOURTH SPACE. Remember that you have to learn the real name of the notes and also the letters in English. So Mi is E.

FA

The high Fa is on the LINE NUMBER FIVE, all the way up in the staff.

SOL

Right above all the lines and spaces of the staff, you'll see the note SOL. Remember it's all the way up.
