THE C SCALE

Now that you know the name of all the main notes on the staff, we are going to put the seven notes in order to make the C SCALE. This order never changes, and will always be the same, these are the eight notes that make the C Scale: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si, Do.

After the seven notes, you have to repeat the first note Do to make the scale. The full name is "C Major Scale", if you write the scale with only whole notes it will look like this;

You can write the same C scale with half notes and also going up and going down and it looks like this.

And you can also write or play the scale using only quarter notes. Notice that whole notes last longer, so playing the scale with quarter notes seams like you are playing faster and faster.
