ARPEGGIO LINE
When you play a chord you have to play all the notes of the chord at the same time. But sometimes you want to play each note individually or one by one. That's when you use the "Arpeggio line" or "arpeggiando" it's a vertical curvy line placed before the actual chord, like this,
When you see that line you play the chords note by note. Listen to the video Music Theory Level 8 and you will understand. It sounds really nice and it gives a different felling than playing the chord normally. Many composers have used this "special effect" in music.
